My daughter loves unicorns! For her birthday, I had the idea to bake a unicorn cake myself. I found the recipe in her new book “The Great Unicorn Party.” I'm not a professional baker, but following a recipe to bake a cake isn't too hard. The real challenge is the decoration. Since I didn’t have an 18 cm springform pan, I decided to scale up the ingredients. In hindsight, I now know that I didn’t increase the quantities enough. But never mind – the cake still turned out great, even if it doesn’t look exactly like the one in the book. I’ll need to recalculate the ingredient list again because unfortunately, I wasn’t able to follow the original plan completely.
For my first cake with vanilla whipped cream and fondant, I think it turned out really great.
